Voyage à Milan

We just had a short trip to Milan, Italy. It's my first time going there, to one of the world's fashion capital and I have to admit that people there were very chic, even to go to a park.

The trip was the first time for our daughters too. But for hubby it's just one of his many trips to Italy. The company office and his present boss were there in Agrate, a bit outside Milano. Although it's definitely not his first time trip, it was his first time stay inside Milano the city, and first time he brought his family.

We went there by a car, went through Mont Blanc the famous tunnel. Mont Blanc Tunnel is a road tunnel in the Alps under the Mont Blanc mountain, linking Chamonix, Haute-Savoie, France and Courmayeur, Aosta Valley, Italy.

The tunnel was closed after a Belgian transport truck carrying flour and margarine caught fire in the tunnel On 24 March 1999, 39 people died. Caused manslaughter trial in Grenoble, France, 16 people and companies were tried on 31 January 2005 for manslaughter. The tunnel was reopened in 2002.

Although it's only a short trip, this trip was very memorable for us, and mostly for the kids. They've learned another foreign country, saw another foreign culture and heard another foreign language. "Travel broaden one's mind" they said. That's also what we tried to teach and our children.
