Chemin du Bonheur ..

I stumble upon a book today in our regular visit to a bookstore. I saw Jamie Cat Callan's new book on the shelf "Bonjour, Happiness" -- secret to finding your "joie de vivre". I flipped over and found out more about the book and the author. Jamie's grandma is French and as a young girl she was fascinated by her grandma's attitude towards life: though she had a little money, she ate well, dressed well and took joy in simple, everyday pleasure -- how inspiring.

As adult Jamie's journey through France gained more insight into the difference between French and American women. Some of them are:

-- buy and consume less, and enjoy more.

-- look like a million euros on a few francs

-- find time to be alone, rediscover your own mystery

They love food without overeating, work hard but not too much, to relish friends and family and still make time for themselves. They didn't invent happiness but know a thing or two about being alive to each moment. "Joie de vivre" and know the art of saying "enough" ...

Instead of being rushed and multitasking all the time your whole life, for example like drinking coffee on the go while talking on your cellphone, why don't you sit down for a while .. by sitting down, you're still doing something, your mind still thinking, you watch passerby .. and enjoy your coffee more, simple pleasure in everyday life will goes a long way ..

"Perfection isn't attainable, but happiness always is" ..
