in a couple of weeks ..

Our departure date is nearly coming although we haven't got the confirmation about our "permit de sejour". Hubby said hopefully it will arrive within these weeks, so we proceed to give notice to our kids' school today. Husband said most probably we leave on the 4th of March.

I still have some things to settle here. The tax-refund cheque which I should've got from the tax office by now still hasn't arrive. When I emailed them they said they've already sent it on Jan 18th to Yishun address .. wtf ?!?! .. I never wrote that address!! in the form I clearly mentioned my husband's office as to where they should send the cheque!. They already sent 2 letters to this address correctly and no problem, but why they didn't send the cheque to the same address ?!?! .. I received their email this evening, so I can't do much about it but to reply and asked them to re-send to the same address they mailed me all these times. I felt very disappointed by how the tax authority here works .. and how they took our money by making such law. Maybe it's true when people said that there are two things that's certain in this life: DEATH and TAX! :-p
